The Richardson family did their utmost to raise awareness that their son Martyn was missing. I worked on several pieces with them at length to keep momentum for the search going and volunteered at both public searches. When his body was found at the second search, my story was the most read across the whole of Newsquest that day, evidencing the loyal readership and community interest my coverage had built. A year later, I worked again with the family on a final tribute piece to him, which was a great honour and privilege.
