About Me
Telling stories was a passion I discovered first through creative writing, and then during lockdown when I was at home and obsessed with the news.
I took every opportunity while undertaking my Multimedia Journalism degree at the University of Essex, alongside my NCTJ Level 5 diploma, to learn the nuances of radio, television, social media, and print. I greatly enjoyed every aspect; from presenting in the studio in the role of news anchor, to scriptwriting for radio and television, to subediting and acting as the editor of a magazine project.
In my role as a senior reporter at Newsquest, I've honed my skills and become an important member of the team. I've led our campaign calling for upgrades to the A120, interviewing MPs and investigating road safety; I've reported from the scene of major incidents; I've covered trials, inquests and hearings; and I'm proud of many of the articles I've written which have made a real difference in the community.
I've continued to develop my multimedia skills and led discussions about using social media and video to expand our audience. I'm excited to continue to learn, grow, and tell stories which matter.
